All applicants to Edir should apply in person, husband & wife if married, at the in-person Board meeting. ❑ If the Board meeting is held virtually, the applicant, both husband and wife if married, must appear at the virtual meeting.

All Ethiopians and any person of Ethiopian heritage or their spouse are eligible to be members of EEMAA.

Membership shall be limited to residents of the New York metropolitan area at the time they join EEMAA

Applications for membership can be made online or by mail.   All applicants are required to appear before the Board (husband and wife, if married) before their applications are approved.    This may be done in person or virtually (if the Board meeting is held virtually).

All applicants to EEMAA should submit the following required documents at the time they submit their applications: A duly completed Application Form; a copy of driver’s license or ID with a tristate address in the New York Metropolitan area (of both, if married); Copy of marriage certificate (if married); Copy of birth certificate (for children under 22).
